Programme Support

For Slough Borough Council, we have been providing programme management support for the three-year, SEEDA-funded Thames Valley Area Programme, which primarily operates in Reading, Slough and High Wycombe, through a dozen labour market projects. The programme followed lobbying by the Berkshire unitaries, building on the Thames Valley Inclusion Strategy, which we helped to research and draft.

For the Government Office for the South East, we provided an active network co-ordination service to a region-wide network of projects supporting young people disengaged from learning. We have also worked for the Government Office to establish a network for the 18 Learning Partnerships in the South East, and supported it for its first year.

For the East of England Development Agency, we supported the Agency in carrying out its cross-RDA lead role related to the establishment of an Office for National Statistics presence in each English region. We coordinated the creation of a shared position, and drafted policy papers for RDAs and their Chief Executives’ meeting.

For a partnership of four local authorities in Berkshire (Bracknell Forest, Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham), we project managed the first stage of their Key Worker Strategy, including creating a more helpful definition, and designing a collaborative approach to housing allocations. The work followed our critique of pre-existing plans and progress towards implementing them.
